About This Project
This flagship project involved the complete replacement of legacy conveyor systems across a 15,000 sqm automotive assembly facility. Working closely with the client's production team, OWARI Engineering designed and installed modern Interroll-powered roller conveyors, integrated MasterMover AGVs for inter-station heavy component transport, and deployed Fortelock interlocking industrial flooring across all operator workstations. The project was completed in phases to minimize production downtime, with full commissioning achieved on schedule.
The Challenge
The client's existing conveyor infrastructure was over 15 years old, causing frequent breakdowns, high energy consumption, and safety concerns. Production throughput was limited by the aging system's capacity, and maintenance costs were escalating. The upgrade needed to be completed in phases to avoid extended production shutdowns.
Our Solution
OWARI Engineering developed a phased implementation plan that allowed production to continue during the upgrade. We replaced the legacy systems with modern Interroll-powered roller conveyors featuring energy-efficient drum motors, integrated MasterMover AGVs for automated inter-station transport of heavy components, and installed Fortelock interlocking industrial flooring across all operator workstations to improve durability and safety.
